Vegas 20 "terminating"

I've found that Vegas 20 crashes (terminates) when trying to open an old veg file from V17 or V18. Crashes every time and can't be opened. However, they open fine when loading the veg file using an old version of vegas17. I rename and save it and then they open in Vegas 20. Strange... Anyone else having this issue?

In preferances click enable depricated features

I haven't had any issues opening older .veg files in VP20.... so far....

Not ever with any upgrade from VP10 onwards.

Do your VP17/18 projects have any 3rd party VFX/VST plugin effects? if yes, what are they/

No, no plugins that I know of. I'm glad I still have V17 on my system otherwise those veg files would be useless to me. It's a bit disturbing.

I've looked at the "deprecated features" tab but with the dozen or so places to check, I don't see anything in there that would apply to the issue.

I don't think that deprecated features is at all related to this. My guess is also a plugin that changed post VP 17? In general I find projects from 12 and 15 still open fine assuming the new version has the old plugins.
