I'm using demo of DVDWS and it says you can import avi but they're limited to 4:42 min length even though they are longer. On another forum the supposition was that it had something to do with avi type1 versus avi type2, other ideas include what codec your'e using and even what version of Windows Media Player. Also mentioned something about DirectShow as opposed to Video For Windows?. Any ideas or experience on what to do to make this work?

If you render your DVD MPEGs in Vegas, those will open in DVDWS no problem.

Tip: when you get to the burn stage in DVDWS, make sure you specify a max bitrate higher than the MPEG source file max. Do this and DVDWS will not re-encode the files.
