HERE IS MY SETUP... 1GHZ PENT LAPTOP, 512RAM, MOTU828, 80GB GLYPH FIREWIRE DRIVE...IVE USED VEGAS 2.0H FOR A YEAR NOW WITH NO PROBLEMS...I DOWNLOADED THE 3.0 DEMO AND I CANT GET IT TO RECORD. HERE IS THE ERROR MESSAGE... THANKS FOR THE HELP..CHRIS...

It is possible that the VV 3 Demo is trying to use some older VV 2 DLL's. Have you tried removing both packages (make sure to remove the shared components) and then reinstall VV 3.

Don't do this unless you are confident of being able to reinstall it (or you have a backup of the drive from before you installed VV 3 Demo).

Are you at the latest NT Fix level? 7 or better, I believe.

Try the latest Direct X 8.1
It solved a lot of problems for me(I was using newer pluging along with Vegas 3)
