That would be nice since the attitude about the next version of VA has been so bad because of their silence. I have recently been using VA soley for all my audio needs that do not require any midi assistance. I hope that it gets as much of a kick in the butt improvement like VV got. If you look at their winter catalog you can see how underdeveloped VA is over VV. I would really like a new look to the track views in VA. Like on the work area you would have led's all the time to view volume...not just while your recording. More to a workspace like Sonars...more music friendly if you ask me. 32bit floating point would be a nice add on. Some new plugins...that can be automated would be awesome! DX automation and DXI's are a must for the next upgrade IMHO. As well as full midi support. Improved CDA functionality. I feel that VA should have complete ACID integration in it[in spite of Sonars advancements]. Or at least a "rewire" like relationship so that you can create a loop song in acid and link the outputs from acid to the inputs of VA or VV [better break out the dual cpu's for that one!]. And a number of tweaks and shortcuts that were listed recently that users are demanding...The next update of VA will be going up against the updates of Cubase and Logic you know. I'm sure they have been watching/listening and the next update of VA should at least satisfy most of everyones needs/expectations in the audio department...I would like to be shocked and amazed by its improvements though...we'll soon see. Later.
