Are you talking about using the TV out to preview your video? If so, vegas doesn't support that. It only supports output via firewire. What you can do (and what I do) is render to a WMV or AVI (not quicktime) and then play in media player full screen over the TV out. That's the only way you could see what you're working on via TV.

But in Vegas' FAQ it says that you can select a dual card in the drop-down menu form video device...

Hmm... I can't find the FAQ. If it's on the web site, could you give me the link? Ifit can be done, I'd be VERY interested. Maybe you're thinking of duel monitors?

Yes, you can use the tv out on a geforce for a second windows display, once you have it set for 640x480 16bit. You need to have the cable hooked from the geforce to a monitor before the drivers will let you use/set the tv output. Once working you can drag the Vegas preview window to it. Setting Vegas preview window for "simulate device aspect" (right click preview) will let you see all of the action safe area in proper aspect on full screen previews. If you want to view full overscan at full screen, change to 800x600 and size Vegas preview window as needed. Speed of Geforce previews will be much faster than OHCI/ext. monitor setup. But it's not an interlaced signal and not perfect gamma/sat./levels. You can tweek it damn close to a dv signal though. It won't fill your monitor screen, but it's accurate enough to get lots of editing done. Just have to check color correction, stills, and graphics via an interlaced signal.
So, you'll want also use the OHCI/ext. monitor setup also. Set up in options/prefs and use a dv cam or conversion box to get an analog output.
I use an Svideo switch box to bounce between Geforce and DV cam previews. Over 80% of my editing is with the Geforce tv output.

I have just noticed the option for video for windows under the video device preference.

This must be a new feature I am sure it was not there in VV3.

I would also be interested in how you get on, is firewire the better option for performance, quality etc?

I will have a go at getting it to work tomorrow I have the same card.
