Vegas 4.0 Not loading

I've just installed Vegas 4 build 115 and I've managed to get as far as putting in the serial number. Then it comes up with Microsoft's "vegas40.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". Version 3 used to run without any problems under XP.

I have a feeling that as I have two sound cards - a Creative Labs Live! and an Emagic EMI26 connected via USB - this might be causing a problem but I have no idea how to sort it.

Can anyone help?

I have just read through past messages and found others with the same problem as me - they use Logic Platinum 5 which only works with a dongle, and this is what causes the error message. I removed the dongle and magically Vegas 4 works.

So could this be looked at some time, as I don't particularly want to keep inserting and removing my dongle each time I want to work with either program!

Kind regards,

Hussein
