vegas 4.0 questions

I came from using imovie for a year straight to vegas 4.0, and there are some things i love and dislike about it. But, the questions i need to ask are:
1. How do i reverse clip dirrection?
2. How do i create a still frame from a part of the video
3. is there any way i can move the video clips im not working with, or may use later, to somewhere else until i need them instead of deleting them and than using the media pool to find it again? For now, i just use the clips im not working with way to the right of the clips that are already in place.
4. can i grab more than one clip or sound clip at once instead of always moving every clip one at a time?

Thanks, that's it for now

Use the velocity envelope. Insert/Video Envelope/Velocity

2. How do i create a still frame from a part of the video
Various ways

3. is there any way i can move the video clips im not working with, or may use later, to somewhere else until i need them instead of deleting them and than using the media pool to find it again? Not sure you're doing the right thing here anyway. Open up multiple Vegs - and keep the clips you are not working on in here. Then just cut/copy and paste into the "working" Veg

4. can i grab more than one clip or sound clip at once instead of always moving every clip one at a time?

Yeah... easy..peasy... just ctrl-click on each clip you want and then move them wherever you like. That's a pretty standard Windows feature to select multiple "things".

Just an Appendix to Liam's No. 1 .. after inserting a VelEnvel [ that's my shorthamd for velocity envelope! ] set values to less than 0% . . .Soooo... -100% will be reverse at regular speed. Likewise -50% will be reverse at ½ speed - yeah? But, of course, you can choose any number you want too!

Is this "Movie Studio" Vegas 4.0 or is this just regular Vegas 4.0? I have regular 4.0 and you have to "highlight" the video track before it will offer you the "velocity" envelope ("insert" tab, then video envelopes) but right click the actual video track 1st, to highlight.

You are using Movie Studio, not Vegas (someone should shoot the product manager that gave these 2 products such similar names).

You'll likely get much more help in the Movie Studio Forum.

Yep... looking at the screen capture it is "Vegas Movie Studio". That does not have velocity envelopes. Whereas Vegas 4.0 (the full version) does have velocity envelopes.
