Vegas 4.0e update problems

I downloaded 4.0e of Vegas and when I double click on the .exe installer, nothing happens. No errors, no splash screen....nothing.

WinXP 1.6GHz w/512 megs of DDR 333MHZ ram.

Any ideas?

All updates/critical patches applied to my OS.

Sounds like a corrupt download. I'd try downloading it again.

rique's suggestion is right. I had that happen too. You may also need to delete your temporary internet files.
