Vegas 4 feature/fix ?

Anybody know if Vegas 4 synchonises save/save as/render to folders to the project properties folder ? VV3 remembers each destination uniquely, so it's really hard to avoid ending up with projects strung across various unrelated folders, including ones from previous sessions.

In my way of thinking, the default folder for all audio operations should default to be the same one.

No I don't, but I assume there *will* be a VV4, and looking at times and things would expect it before this Xmas. Hope they've addressed that niggle. or even they could fix it in VV3.0d . No, I don't know if there really is one of those either !

Hmmm, before Christmas.... That would probably be right I'd guess. One major release a year? I remember Vegas 3 came out towards the end of last year. Is that how Sonic Foundry operate?

After 21 years or so of testing both hardware and software products for quite a few companies, I can tell you that they all TRY to hit the Christmas buying season. BUT, that is not their only target, and sometimes they either ignore or miss Christmas. Also of interest is the quarterly cycle, typically: February, May, August, November. A noted adherent to that cycle is Intel. They just dropped prices and introduced new products a few days ago.

Personally, I'm quite enjoying watching all the Acid 4 users beta testing some of Vegas 4's new features :o) Hopefully a large number of the issues with acid will have been addressed for the Vegas 4 release.

Acid 4 already looks like it's kicking some ass :o)
