Vegas 4 preview problem

I recently upgraded to Vegas 4. I cannot preview any still images. Preview seems to run, however all still images appear in monitor as black. I have Quicktime 6. Images preview fine in Vegas 3? Is anyone else having this problem. Or can someone from So Fo respond.

Note, Quicktime movies preview in both systems with slight problem with sound.
