Vegas 4 projects dont sound right in 5

Im working on some older tunes that were recorded in vegas 4 and these tunes contain timestretched beats as well as a lot of other timestrecthed stuff. Its very apparent that all the track have now lost the groove they had.
So im wondering if the timstrecth algorithms have been radically or even slightly changed?
If so then how can i get the settings back that were used in 4 ?
Shouldnt there be guaranteed compatibility between 4 and 5 ?

The tunes in question are due for an album in 10 days so need a fix for this problem badly!

Do you have 5.0b? If not, please get the update, next go into audio prefs and turn of "Import audio at project tempo", then reopen the V4 project. Let us know if this solves it-

I have 5.0b and i tried this but it didnt change anything.
Im not using any Acid loops or anything like that ,the files were just stretched in Vegas 4. There is only a slight difference but its enough to throw the tune out of groove.

Það er gaman ef landanum gengur vel.
Ertu að vinna þetta úti eða heima?
Allavega, gangi þér vel.

As a workaround, how 'bout rendering the stretched events to new wav files in V4, then importing into V5?
