Vegas 4 recording latency

Hi...
I have a problem with the recording in vegas 4...When i record multipple tracks at once, everything is OK, but when i record some more tracks in the same project, then appears an annoying cca 5ms latency ....I tried to manually set the recording latency in the Options menu, but makes no difference.....
If anybody had the same problems, and managed to fix it, please share the fixing method with me.

I can't promise this will work, but I had a similar problem of keeping new tracks in sync. It all seemed to work after I went into my 'preferences' in the file tab and changed the ruler to SMPTE Non-Drop (29.97 fps, Video)

Are you monitoring you new tracks directly from your mixer as you record. If you are monitoring from Vegas output, what you are playing will be slightly delayed and also delayed on playback. I doubt this is the problem, but I thought I would mention it anyway.
