Vegas 4 - stuttering?!

Hello,

We recently had to resintall WinXP on one of our workstations equipped with Vegas 4.0c. Since the WinXP reinstall, Vegas will not correctly play back .wav files. They stutter. .AIFs and .MP3s play fine. And .wavs play fine in every other app - Sound Forge, Windows Media, etc. It' s only .wavs and only in Vegas. When we export the stuttering .wav as an .aiff and re-import it, it plays fine. (Our Delta 44 drivers are the most recent.)

Tech support seems to be stumped so I thought I'd "take it to the streets". Any thoughts? Anyone run into this before?

Rob

Install XP SP1. Get and install latest soundcard driver.

Try re-installing Vegas ( a shared system file may have been 'rolled back' with the install).
