Vegas 5

Is there a projected time for release of Vegas 5. I need to forcast the purchase for my office budget and would be nice to know if it is going to be this fiscal year or next....

Don't tell them when you've got to spend your money though!
Otherwise they'll just change a few GUI things and repackage it with a 5 sticker on it.

Far better to say "If Vegas5 really comes up with the goods and has a fantastic improvement with DVDA2, then you better believe I'll be buying it with the profits I 've brought in from Vegas4".

It'd be even nicer for some prudent point releases to V4 that add features that marry Vegas up with the few star wonders that still remain in competitive apps. V5 can then set the new bar height.

I took another route, and instead of having my company buy Vegas+DVDA, I bought it personally, put it on my own computer, and now, whenever I use it, my company not only pays me, but they rent my system as well. It more than paid for itself on the first job.
