Damn. I purchased mine on Feb. 17, and I don't get crap. I knew that an upgrade would be coming, but I thought that the date would be good for a freebie.

I was wrong. Not the first time, and probably won't be the last...

You might try contacting customer service when V5 comes out. I did that after I purchased the AC3 plugin last year for Acid4 (just a short while before V4 came out) and I got a discounted upgrade price for V4+DVD which included the AC-3 plug-in, even though there was no mention of their willingness to do that anywhere online. They might take care of you. Maybe they won't give you the rebate but will give you the upgrade. Maybe neither, but worth a try asking.

I did well enough to pay for the upgrade.

I second that. Bought Vegas 3 and 4 came out 60 days later and they gave me Vegas 4 for free. Give them a call.
