vegas 5.0 & Cubase SL

SUBJECT: vegas 5.0 & Cubase




I have been using Vegas 3.0 and CubaseSL on my 1gig RAM Pentium 4, 1.8ghz Dell machine with no problems from either program.
I just upgraded to Vegas 5.0 today and when I now use Cubase, I get a lot of stuttering and break up with audio and to the point where Cubase stops. I used system restore to get my computer back to before Vegas 5.0 was installed and Cubase works fine.

I also uninstalled Cubase and reinstalled it after reinstalling Vegas 5.0 and Cubase still stutters. Can anyone help in what maybe causing the problem.

how are u running the programs, at the same time, together, ??? how?
and what r u using them for? ex. cubase for audio to then put it in vegas are u syncing them together? explain a little more!!

i use cubase sx and vegas 5 with no probs
somtimes with reason,logic ,protools synced up at different times and combonations of course
1.make sure your drivers are correct and updated
2. make sure your project set up is equal in cubase as it is in vegas
ex.. sample rate (48,000Hz, 41,000Hz}, recording fromat (24 bit,16 bit)depending on how your using these programs of course

but it sounds like your driver settings in cubase are being changed with installing vegas u might want to right down your settings and compare them before and after u install vegas
