Sure if I upgraded to 6, 7 , 8 ..ect I wouldn't be having this problem but really just can't afford any upgrades right now.
I have standard DV Avi clips that I want to archive to disc but want them in a more efficient (file size) format that mpeg2. (quality isn't so much a concern)
I've been downloading full episodes of TV shows from itunes (m4v) and some other content from file sharing networks (avi - divx?)
They seem to have great rez and a much smaller file size then mpeg2.
1.) How can I get a different format type listed in the "Render As" box within vegas?
2.) What format would you suggest? divx? mp4?
I know there are options out there for standalone conversion (like quicktime pro) but I prefer to render directly from Vegas timeline.
Thanks in advance
