I hope I explain this correctly, so be patient with me....
In Vegas 4, if I wanted to alter the "aspect ratio" and "squeeze" a picture (JPG) so that the contents would look thinner, I was able to use the Pan/Crop tool. In Pan/Crop, I would put my cursor on the left vertical line so that the cursor would change shape to indicate a movement "left to right". I would then hold down the CTRL key to override the aspect ratio and move the cursor to the right, thereby squeezing the size of the picture and its contents.
When I try this In Vegas 5, I can't get this to work. I don't see any difference in the Pan/Crop edit screen from V4.
In V5, It looks like it will work because the "F" inside the edit screen squeezes and becomes thinner (just like V4), however the picture does not. The picture is altered by cropping off the left and right side as long as I move the mouse, but it doesn't squeeze the picture.
As anyone else had this problem or can you duplicate?
Hope I haven't confused the issue. Thanks...
I looked and couldn't find this issue discussed anywhere else. If it has been and I overlooked it, I apologize.
