Vegas 5 capture:OOS

When I press 'play' in the Vegas 5 capture utitlity, I notice the sound is out of sync with the video. If I press 'stop', then 'play' again, it starts in sync, but slowly gets out of sync again. There is no capture yet. I'm just pressing play in the capture utility. Is this a problem with anyone else? Is there a workaround besides using a different application? FYI, this doesn't happen when I 'play' the same tape in scenalyzer.

I started using Scenalyzer for capturing a couple of years ago with Pinnacle Studio because of OOS. I've had no OOS issues since no matter what NLE I'm using. Truth be known, I've not used Vegas to capture. Scenalyzer works too good.

An NLE that costs as much as Vegas, should capture, edit and encode at the top of it's class. I would expect out of sync issues from some of the low end apps, but not Vegas. I was hoping there were some workarounds.

Vegas used to capture fine. That is no longer the case. At least for me. I now always use Scenalyser

Vegas 6 captures just fine for me. Use it all the time. I have never had any sync issues with captured AVI's... ever. The only time I have ever had any sort of sync issues with the capture utility was when I was using a very old PC (750Mhz) and the audio preview on capture was out of sync. The captured AVI was still fine.

I was noticing the OOS with the audio preview. I assumed that if the audio during capture was OOS, then the capture file would be OOS. I'll try again tonight. Thanks.
