Vegas 5 + dvd

Can anybody tell me if there is a good reason to buy Vegas 5 + dvd instead of just Vegas 5 if I already have a dvd encoder and burner.(Roxio) Is there something superior about Sony's dvd authoring software or dvd encoder that warrants the extra expense? I just want to burn very simple dvd's. Thanks

Well....compared to Roxio, the answer is "of course it's worth it" but then again, maybe you don't need to deliver professional-appearing DVDs.
Vegas' encoder is lightyears better than what comes with Roxio, and the authoring application is as well.
But if as you say, you only need "simple DVDs" then it might be that Roxio is worth it to you. The MPEG difference is significant, but as far as creating buttons and links, Roxio works fine, if you don't need end actions, rollovers, masking, etc.
