Vegas 5+DVD to Vegas 6 upgrade question

I've currently been using Vegas 5 + DVD Architech 2 and have decided to upgrade to Vegas 6 (without DVD Architech 3 preferred) for some of the HDV friendly features. Will I still retain the ablility to encode to AC3 like in Vegas 5 + DVD. Does the AC3 encoder from Vegas 5+DVD "carry over" to Vegas 6 or must you purchase the full Vegas 6 + DVD to keep the AC3 encoding ability?

You should be fine. I had no problemsd when I upgraded pretty much the same way only I bought DVDA3 as well. Just took me longer to install it. I retained all AC3 encoding with no problems.

Do you use DVDA2? If yes, I would go ahead and get DVDA3 too. It includes a ton of nice new features and is well worth having.
