Vegas 5 keeps crashing

IIMvideo wrote on 10/29/2004, 1:15 PM
These are the details I get when trying to render (it also crashes when editing to)...does anyone know how to make any sense of this? I started to have these problems after installing the Zenote plugins.

Thanks in advance.

Use the email tech support option at the top of this page. This sounds like something that you should take up directly with Sony.

That excpetion in particular (0xE06D7363 ) is the SEH exception that Visual C++ uses for try/catch/throw.

Given what I know about our code, I would say that it is likely that this is a case of the Zenote plugin throwing an exception. Contacting them might be your best move in trying to cure this problem.

Are you using the Zenote demo or purchased version? Is the project something that you could make available for me (either by download, IM, or email)?

Thanks, unforturnately I cannot make this .veg available to you for client reasons. But thanks for the offer Chaboud.

I uninstalled the Zenote plugins (they were demos I was trying out) and everything is fine again. I was able to render through the entire project okay.

If I purchased the plugins, would this still be a problem? Is there a difference between the demo and the purchased versions? I would really like to get the 'glow' & 'random' plugins.

Spot mentioned to uninstall the plugins, which I did already, then 'clear buffers' - how do I do this??

Thanks again.

As I'd recommended on the DMN, try using System Mechanic from Iolo. You can manually sweep in windows, but this would likely work better for you.
