Vegas 5 Resize Problem

I've had the opportunity to work with Vegas 5.0 recently, and I've noticed that the Field Order settings in the software seem to be incorrect. I noticed this when playing a homebrew DVD on my TV. All of the titles of the DVD were created with Vegas 4, except for the last one. That was done with Vegas 5. The Vegas 5 title had the wrong field order. (telltale jumpy video)

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here's about 15,000 for you:
Vegas 5 Resize Trouble

Has anybody else here experienced any field order anomalies with Vegas 5? Or can anybody else reproduce my findings? I've included a small video clip of the MPEG that I used as my source at the end of the above web page. The format is NTSC.

Thanks!

There IS a field order problem for quite a long time now when using certain PAL stuff. Sony now knows about it and is probable offering a fix in next version. If you are in a PAL land maybe it's same problem I talk about. In this case there are two ways to workaround it. Are you using PAL video?

Sorry, forget about my last post. I now saw your example and it is clear this is something quite different.

Just a follow-up to this.
It appears that it could be some sort of resizing issue.

Taking 720x480 video and rendering it into 352x480 in Vegas 5 is doing some sort of resizing in the vertical direction, which is incorrect. Since the input and output are both 480 lines, the interlacing shouldn't be touched.

Vegas 4 behaves as expected.
