Vegas 5 still seems to have bug with MPEG export "custom" settings button

When I go to render a MPEG, nothing happens when I click on "custom", just as in Vegas 4. In Vegas 4 this could be cured by removing some registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sonic Foundry\MC MPEG Plug-In\1.0\License. This doesn't seem to work in Vegas 5. I've tried the same thing with MPEG Plug-In\1.1, but to no avail.
Can anyone come up with a solution please? It's very irritating not being able to customise MPEG settings!

Thanks,

Matt

How did you install V5? Did you remove V4 first, or keep it around? Did you use the default installation directories for all your Sony/SF products?

I have no problem at all accessing the custom MPEG settings. So, while it may indeed be a bug, it doesn't affect everybody and therefore you need to provide as much information as possible.

OK, the reg key fix does work if you remove it from the Sony registry folder rather than the Sonic Foundry folder...Doh!
Remove "key1" from the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Media Software\MC MPEG Plug-In\1.0\License.

It would have been better to not have to do this, of course! The other fix I remember from Vegas 4 is to buy DVD Architect and install that.

Hope this helps someone.
