Is this the same as the SPOT-Sony Vegas DVD? Where can I see the details on this DVD?...I didn't find it on the VASST website(really needs some work).

This DVD is for the Vegas 5 + DVDA2 new features. Here's the VASST link to the page:

If you're looking for the comprehensive Vegas 4-4 DVD set by Spot, it's marketed by Class On Demand and here's the page:

It was actually a delay from the replicator getting the DVDs to the fulfillment warehouse, but they got them there. It's SO frustrating when delays take place that are out of your hands. Truckers keep striking for higher pay over the years, but I don't see my stuff getting moved around the country any faster.

I'm a bit confused. If I had to choose one (due to money), which of your products would you recommend, Spot? I am an audio guy getting into video. So I basically know nothing and need a protective source to help me from making the obvious mistakes that are not yet obvious to me.??

If you want to learn Vegas, and haven't used Vegas in the past, DON'T buy the FASST DVD. It's designed to get folks up to speed on Vegas 5, folks that have used Vegas 2/3/4 in the past.
Sound Forge is just for Forge, so that won't help with Vegas, but does help with audio for vid.
Our full length, 2 DVD 9 Vegas set is scheduled for mid July. It's a LONG one. We also have finished a short, introductory Vegas training DVD that you'll see shortly. The DVD Architect 2 DVD is shipping at the same time.
The original Vegas 4 DVD is available from Class on Demand, it's a 4 DVD set.
http://www.classondemand.net is their web address.

I recently upgraded to Vegas 5 but because of my busy work schedule, never really had a chance to explore Vegas 4 much.

Since I now own Vegas 5, would it be useful for me to buy this Vegas 4 training disc or do you think It'll be outdated information since I'll be working now with V5? Should I hold out for an updated version of Vegas 5 training comes out?

MOST of the information is relevant to all versions of Vegas. A *few* features such as Bezier masking, 3D tools, Mackie connection, ACID loop support are NOT covered in the Vegas 4 set, but the basics of all versions of Vegas are applicable in this set. The Vegas 5 FASST DVD is aimed at those that already understand those basics, so there is nothing in the FASST DVD that applies to things like using the Media Pool, Chromakeying, transitions, (other than the new envelope tool) etc.

But the one in July will cover this?

Yes, the one shipping in July will cover most everything Vegas, just like my Vegas 4 Editing Workshop DVDs do.
