Vegas 6 + Cinemacraft = reboot!

StormMarc wrote on 8/17/2005, 10:32 PM
I have a completely repeatable bug on two seperate systems. If Vegas 6b is installed and I try to use cinemacraft basic (latest version) my system immediatly reboots when I import an AVI into Cinemacraft for encoding. As soon as I remove Vegas everything works. If I reinstall Vegas (even without media manager) I get an automatic reboot everytime.

Everything was working fine with 5.0d.

i can not reproduce this, also I have not heard of any other reports of this ...

If it was one sytem, i would say it's a system/memory issue.... But you having it on two systems is odd ...

what about using a prev. version of CCE basic ?

What type of avi is it ? If it is a DV codec , the problem prob. is in what codec CCE uses for decoding DV -- which you can change .....

I would bet it's a codec issue. I've got both installed and running on my laptop just fine. Try changing your AVI codec and see what happens.

My AVIs are exported from Vegas. How would I change the codec?

Also do you have service pack 2 installed? I do not... perhaps that is the problem.

Thanks,
