Vegas 6 & DSR-11

I just got Vegas 6 which is to replace Vegas 5 on my system. I cannot print from the timeline to my DSR-11 deck from Vegas 6 while I can on Vegas 5 with no problems including dv deck control.

The only way I have been able to print to tape in Vegas 6 is to make sure no tape is in the deck, select the area I want rendered and put in the tape once rendering is complete and the manual countdown appears. Otherwise I can not render the print to tape and everything is grayed out so I can't select manual or anything.

Anyone have a suggestion. I'm very dissapointed to have dropped almost a grand for Vegas 6 + DVD and not be able to print from the timeline as I did in Vegas 5. I don't like workarounds on new software when it worked on previous versions.

Don't know the cause, but you shouldn't have spent "almost a grand" - upgrade from V5/DVDA2 to V6/DVDA3 is $199.95.

I didn't spend almost a grand to upgrade.

I bought Vegas 6 + DVD and Soundforge 8 for use in my personal editing freelance work.

I have been using Vegas 5.0 provided by my work place, which I do not own the rights to use for work outside of the company along with a DSR-11.

I have been using Adobe Premiere and Media 100 and a DSR-11 in my freelance work before deciding to go with Vegas 6.
