Vegas 6 dvd by Fasst--is this normal?

Just got the SONY VEGAS 6 dvd by Fasst. About four minutes in, the image begins to break-up---digitizes and becomes unwatchable on my Panny XP30 dvd player. However, It views just fine on my Dell laptop.

Just curious if that is how it was produced, and if so, let me know so my future dvds don't have running problems on dvd players. Perhaps it wasn't intended to be viewed on a home theater dvd player (I wanted to watch it on a larger screen).

It is worth getting; very informative. It will help me a lot.

Is this a faulty dvd or were they produced to function only on a PC?Since this dvd was recommended by this forum, I'm guessing others here have ordered it.

Thanks.

I bought this DVD last week and the quality is poor. I was able to watch it in a Sony DVD player. But it has something like 5 or seven glitches truoght out the DVD. The audio mix is very bad: The music stings at the end of each segment drown the narration. the segment on audio sync is done twice, once by Spot and again by Fischer.
The chroma key effect in the opening scene is not done right.
I emailed VASST but have not received an answer. Doesn't look good if this was done with V6.

tjgfr, I personally mailed you yesterday.
So far, yours is the only complaint we've received. There was indeed a glitch at the replicator, we haven't tracked down what that cause was; we used DVDA 3's mastering output, and so don't believe it's there. But that glitch was only related to a colorspace issue, nothing that would affect playback at all. It's quite possible you have a bad piece of media, this does happen on rare occasion. The replicator only verifies one out of 25 discs; this is fairly standard. Therefore occasionally you'll see a bad disc sneak by. As I mentioned in my email, please contact Mannie at VASST and he'll get you a replacement disc.
