I just upgraded from Vegas 4 to Vegas 6. In Vegas 4 I began animating a set of landscape photographs using pan/crop/zoom to create a flyover effect. Vegas 4 worked great with fairly efficient previews. I notice, however, that Vegas 6 is.....
1. slower to add the photos to time line
2. After I apply track motion, there is sometimes a delay in playing back the resulting motion. That is, I see the cursor moving over the photo where the pan/crop/zoom is applied, but nothing is displayed on the preview window, even under "Draft Preview" mode.
3. If I have two photos with applied track motion on each and I create a transition between the two, the playback stalls over the transition point, irregardless of the size of the preview window.
This never happened with Vegas 4, irregardless of how complex the the track motion effects are. It seems that Vegas 6 is just plain slower. I have turned offer the media manager, but is there anything else I can to speed things up, other than adding more RAM?
And while I'm at it, any way to get the flight path to be displayed with the track motion and how do I distort/stretch the photos using Vegas 6?
