Looking for advice. I have 40 hours of DV video on a server that I'm going to repurpose a couple different ways.
1. One is DVD mainly for archiving. Don't need advice there.
2. Windows media 300-500k 360x240. Don't need advice there.
3. Full Screen Playback on computer and HD monitor. Preferrable something that can be full screen or scaled via HTML played back in a browser. Do I want to scale my STD Def video up????
I'm thinking for #3, that I'll play back on the the computer's LCD monitor and or plug it into a 50" DLP HD TV via the computer input on the back of the 50" unit.
I was getting ready to do some test renders from Vegas 5 using WMV 9, when I realized I should probably post and ask some questions about the additional options that would be presented with Vegas 6.
I'm thinking of comparing the 24p to 29.97 both interlaced and non interlaced at the 1080 or 720p level. Not sure if 1080 should be interlaced or progressive....help!
The video quality ranges from OK to good XL1 DV.
I have all the video converted to DV, edited, and on a server video ready to transcode, but haven't made the format decision yet.
Future video that is going to be added will probably come from one of the new HDV cameras sooner than later.
Any suggestions? Thoughts? Be gentle, I haven't figured this all out yet. lol...
thanks
