If you can't find a seminar and I doubt you will. You may have more luck finding an experienced Vegas user to give you lessons.

There are a few companies that offer Vegas training on DVD. Here is a review of a Vegas book.
The author of the book is one of the folks who has a training DVD.

Check out http://vasst.com for lots of training resources including videos, books, tutorials. Highly recommended on this forum and elsewhere.

VASST does sell training products. However, the website also has lots of free resources, so be sure to check that out.

The forums over at dvinfo.net has some good information, like this sticky on the shortcut keys:

Some of the shortcuts are hard to find and incredibly useful, like "s" for split edit. It splits a clip in half.

VASST
will be in Orlando on Monday of next week for the 4Evergroup event with a half-day Vegas class, and will be in Miami with a 4 hour evening event that features Vegas, plus a full day event that highlights Vegas. Click the link above to see the locations, calendar, and agenda.

Additionally, there are training videos from VASST and Class on Demand for Sony Vegas, plus several books from VASST on Vegas 6.
