Vegas 6 trial broke Vegas 5 capture

Everything was working fine with Vegas 5 until last week, when I installed the V6 trial. I tried capturing today with Vegas 5 for the first time since then, and now the capture locks up in at random points; I've tried it 3 times, and it's locked up after 2 - 6 minutes so far. It's a hard lockup, requiring a hard reset to get out of. Until the V6 installation I had no problems capturing.

Anybody else see this? I'm capturing on a different computer right now; when I have time I'll try uninstalling, reinstalling, .... ..

I'm running both, Seajohn, and no issues. What about your capture hardware? What kind of 1394 card are you using? That would be my first go-to.
FWIW, I've got Vegas 2,3,4,5 and 6 all on the same machine, and the only thing that's affected anything, is Vegas 3 has some weirdness since installing 6.

I have no clue why the hell you would have so many versions of the SAME software on your computer!? To each his own, I guess... but no wonder so many of you have problems and glitches with your computer. Try running a clean machine and you'll be surprised how many issues go away...

Uhhh....Vegasbaby1, *I'm* not the one having problems. SeaJohn is.
I have all versions of Vegas installed because I'm often asked questions related to various versions of the software. Or, people send veg files from various versions of the software and I need to be able to open them.
And....it's fun to see the origins of Vegas and what it is today.
And, all versions of Vegas work fine on the same computer.
