Just thought i would let everyone know how my attempt to run Vegas 7 on Windows Vista RC1build 5600 went. (Ultimate edition)
Well, in short, it went very well. There was an error when the install for the sony media manager installed (SQL not supported by this version on windows) but i ran the install anyways and to this point, i have had zero problems editing, rendering or playing back files.
Now i am sure there are problems somehwere but i am pleasently suprised that things are going this well so far.
When Vista is released Q1 of 07 (not holding breath here) it will be reasonable to assume that should there be any small problems with Vegas and Vista, Sony should have an update out quickly to fix them. If it runs this well on a Beta release of Vista, i have high hopes for the final product.
I have also installed and run DVD Arch 4 again with no problems to this point. I will be attempting to burn my first DVD to see how that goes as well.
I will try and keep you all informed of any problems i run into.
