vegas 7 slow preview (only on one tape)

Using vegas 7 all my m2t files play from timeline at 25fps. There is only one m2t file playing only 8fps and audio is a few frames shorter then video. All the files are coming from the same HDR-FX1E. When I take HDTV2MPEG and let it rewite the first minute to a file, the problem still exists. However if I cut of the first 5 seconds in HDTV2MPEG, preview is again at 25fps in vegas. So I think there is something in this particular m2t file confusing Vegas. For the case anyone wants to do any tests, I still have the problematic m2t file here.

Ive got one m2t file that does the same taped with out hdrfx1.
don't know why but thank God it's only a 9 sec clip. out main clips are fine. Still yet it does do the same thing you describe.
I've got no answers as of yet.

Agree, I have a few HDV clips (from FX1) that will not playback full framerate. I looked closely at some of them this week and it appeared that the more motion in the clip, the slower it played.

I've haven't seen audio shorter than my video, so you may have a bad capture. Have you tried to capture that footage again, maybe to another drive?

Yes, have tried this, same result. In my opinion there is something at the beginning of the tape confusing vegas, also if I start capture 5 seconds after beginning everything seems to work fine.
