Vegas 8.1 on Win XP?

Has anyone tried to install 8.1 on Win XP- 64bit or is a 64-bit version of Vista a must to install and use Vegas 8.1.

Good to know it works on XP 64-bit since I don't wont to touch vista with a 10 foot pole. I tried vegas on vista some time ago and render times took twice as long as with XP.
