Vegas 8 and 9 on same machine ??

Either I am using the wrong search criteria or it has not been addressed -- running XP Pro (32 bit). Can I have both Vegas 8 Pro and Vegas 9 pro on the same machine - will they play together nicely ?? (I have licenses for both 8 and 9 (ug))

I've got Pro 7, 8 & 9 all runnig on my machine (XP Pro - 32 bit) with no problems so go right ahead and do it.

My OS is XP 64-bit and I successfully run 8.0c, 8.1, 9.0 and 9.0a on it simultaneously. I have noticed no negative effects on the 8 versions with the 9 versions installed. You must remember, however, that you cannot save a project in Vegas 9 and then open it in Vegas 8.

Well, they seem to co-exist peacefully :-) Thanks for the info folks (I was aware of the "not backward compatible" which is reasonable).
