Vegas 8 not grouping audio/video correctly..ideas?

Hi -

For some reason, using Vegas 8(a), my timeline audio/video isn't synching properly and the clips don't behave correctly as groups..

For example when I put a mov w/audio on the timeline (or an avi) and "pull" on the video part, the audio doesn't stay with it like it's supposed to... ideas?

Also, when I try and use the edit/selection tool and then hit "g" to group them, they look like they're grouped (blue outline around one when I click a different one in same group), but they don't pull together or move together on the timeline when I pull one piece, it moves by itself.

It's driving me nuts, never had that problem in V7. Any ideas re preference or other setting I've mis-set, that's causing grouping to not work correctly? I can't even put an a/v clip on the timeline and pull one piece of it, and groups aren't acting like groups.

thanks,

Ken

From the help file:

"Select the Ignore Event Grouping button (or press Ctrl+Shift+U) to override event groups without removing the groups."

Thanks! That did it. I didn't know it had anything to do with 'event grouping' in this case, but that did the trick. I appreciate the help.
