I believe these templates are stored here in Vegas Pro 9:

WinXP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Sony\Render Templates

WinVista:
C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Sony\Render Templates

Does that help?

Does that help?

It won't help :-(
Sony messed this feature up big time and so far hasn't come up with a fix.
Read the How to migrate V8 custom render settings to V9? thread to find out that you're not alone.

My custom ac3 template shows up just fine in 9 & 9 64. They carried over from 8.

My custom video render templates also transferred to v9, HOWEVER, on the .AVI templates, the audio interleave on them shows up as "0.000" in v9 when it needs to be "0.250" I've had to go through and reset the templates to correct for this. It wasn't really a big deal as I only had to do it once. I suggest that everyone check this and re-save the templates as it can otherwise make for some pretty strange render results.

j razz & John, only some of my custom render templates carried over over from V8 to V9 Pro.
I'm not in front of my computer right now so I can't say which ones didn't but I know there were several.
I know that I'm not the only one with this problem.
This wasn't an issue from V6 to V7 to V8.
Only with V9 did this become an issue and, so far, SCS doesn't think it's a problem :-(
