Vegas 9.0 Sound Problem

I downloaded my HD video from my sony Handycam and it went seamlessly into Vegas. when I went to make a Movie to my DVD the movie is made not in 5.1 souround as it was recoreded in. But was made in HD as recorded
What I am doing wrong?

Which version of Vegas Movie Studio 9 do you have? Only VMS Platinum and VMS Platinum Pro Pack encode for 5.1. The basic version does not.

Someone who knows more can probably fill in some details. I think you need DVD Architect installed to at least use the AC3 (DD5.1) codec. Do you have it installed?
