Every time I attempt to "Render As..." and select "Video for Windows (*.avi)", Vegas 9.0b crashes. Doesn't matter what's on the timeline.
It never even makes it to a window. As soon as I click on the AVI pulldown menu item, Vegas crashes, leaving the pulldown list visible but locked up.
A Sony error report window appears asking me to send the report to Sony.That works. After that, Vegas closes.
All other formats render fine: WMV, MPEG2, AC-3, Image server, etc.
On the same machine Vegas 8 renders out AVI's with no problem.
