Vegas 9 coexist OK with Vegas 8 ?

If Vegas 9 (latest) is installed on a system already running Vegas 8 (final), will they coexist happily (or will the new one overwrite shared files or registry settings etc. relied upon by the old one, risking side-effects) ?

No i don't think so. I have that and i don't notice any problems.

so far have no problems at all - nor did i with 8+7, 7+6, 6+5, etc.,

did have problems when i thought to save space once and deleted 6 after installing 7. never do that again......

I have Vegas 8 32bit and Vegas 9 64bit installed side-by-side without any issues.

When I lose my media/timeline in Vegas 9 64bit, I can actually load up Vegas 8 32bit to restore the media associations which fixes the issue in Vegas 9 64bit!

the real problem arises when they get divorced and one walks out of the system. instead of taking the record collection, it takes what used to be your shared plugins....

how thoughtless.....
