Vegas 9 Fails With Multiprocessor enabled

Ok, i am seeing a lot of posts with stability issues and crashes. Has anyone gotten to the bottom of why Vegas fails when multithreading is set to 2 or more? i have a dual core machine and anything other than a setting of 1 for multiproc will cause vegas to fail on encodes.. I have two machines that are failing with the same problems..

Thanks.

Nope and no one seems to be able to get an fair answer from Sony either.

I think that this question has got no answer.

When you render, many tasks are working (more or less) together: the original material is beeing decoded, pans/zooms and FX'es and ... are applied, and the result of all this is encoded into the finished video.

Some of these tasks are Sonys own, others are bought/licenced and others are your own third-party plugins.
Again some of them are single-threaded, some multi.

So the answer depends on the mix of all this in your specific combination of all above.

I can tell, that in my combination I have 4 rendering threads - but watching the Task manager I see everything between one and eight processors beeing used through a render - and changing from second to second.
