Vegas AAF roundtrip workflow questions

Who here has had to work on HD projects between Vegas and Adobe After Effects? How has AAF import/export worked for you? Any problems on Vista 64? What codecs have worked well?

Please forgive my lack of personal experience with AAF; I all but lost hope when Vegas 7 refused to talk to Pro-Tools on a high-pressure project, (even when we pored over the requirements for proper AAF inter-compatibility and adjusted the project layer by layer) and I'm just now starting to look at Vegas AAF seriously again... but just for Adobe AE this time.

I've tried it once but only on a single layer project and only from Vegas to AE and under XP. That much seemed to work OK.
If you've got AE I can't see it's much of a chore to test it yourself under exactly the conditions you intend to use. Even if I had done something that seems roughly the same as what you're planning on doing you'd have to be nuts to trust that my experience would translate well into your requirements.

AAF from Vegas to AE seemed to work for me.

To go back, you export a movie file from AE and stick that into Vegas.

2- If an application says it supports AAF... it won't necessarily work for your needs. e.g. FCP "supports" AAF... via the 3rd party Automatic Duck.
Project interchange doesn't always work.
