Vegas, After Effects and Boris FX or ???

Does anyone use these products with Vegas? I understand they may not work in vegas but I am guessing you can save the effects as an .avi file and bring them into Vegas. Have you ever tried that? If you do use them do you like them or do you recomend other programs with cool effects and even 3D effects? Just checking out what is out there for effects. Thanks

My budget does not stretch as far as Boris.

Ulead Cool 3D Studio is a reaonably priced option.

If you do a search on the forums for AE and Boris there should be plenty of posts.

Can anyone answer that question? I too am interested in finding this out. Perhaps I should hop on over to adobe and try the trial version?
