Vegas and 24p

Panasonic is about to announce an affordable 3 chip camera at NAB that can shoot 24p.

Does Vegas support 24p?

Panasonic claims that that their new 24p DV camera and will work like any 1394 DV camera, and the only difference is the look of the footage (simulates 3:2 pull down like 24fps film xfred to 29.97 tape). Vegas should be able to use the footage created with this camera with no problems.

While we have not tested this camera in-house, the 24pDV product manager at Panasonic does have a copy of Vegas 3 and claims they'll be testing with it at some point- he says "no worries".
