Vegas and Audigy 2 ZS

I recently installed a new Audigy 2 ZS card for my editing station. Now everytime I try to play back in Vegas I get an error.

"The ASIO device SB Audigy 2 ZS ASIO (CF00) does not support the current sample rate."

Regardless of what I do, I can not get around this problem. I currently do not have sound abilities inside of Vegas. Acid works fine, Sound Fordge works fine, Adobe works fine... just Vegas...

Any suggestions out there.

Thanks,

JWR

This is just a stab in the dark. I'm thinking it has something to do with the bit rate and bit depth of your project in Vegas.
With ASIO drivers your outputing a raw stream to the audio card so it has to be capable of accepting what Vegas wants to give it. I had the same issue trying to go from SPDIF into Vegas. I had to set Vegas's audio properties to match how the audio was recorded on the tape or all hell broke loose.

Try switching the project sample rate to 48kHz.

JWR, I have the same setup. I had this problem initially but fixed it by changing the project settings in Vegas. Might have been bitrate. Might have been which drivers I selected, i.e., *not* using the Microsoft one, or perhaps it *was* using the Microsoft one.

Sorry, I'm at work and the setup is at home. If you continue to have problems, shoot me a mail at rich@clevercaboose.com and I'll read you off my settings tonight.
