Huh, good luck. It was coming "sometime soon" a long time ago.
Got a few of us kind of hopeful that finally we could hold our heads up high and then it all went quiet.
As far as I know they ditched the idea without any official explaination.
You can still capture and PTT using 3rd party apps though.

So the current flavour of the month is SD Connect from Convergent, hopefully that will suffer a better fate than Decklink as we've bought two of them.

Seems odd to me, most other NLE developers seem to be able to get these things to work with their code or was it just that there was more pressing tasks at hand like 3D planar surface that 90% of the users can't even figure out how to use much less need.

You and Spot helped out alot. I posted the 10 bit confusion a while ago. If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't have known about SD Connect.

*Hows this, based on my work, a local TV station wants to hire me, but they all use FCP. I told them if they want me, they'll have to invest in a PC unit, because my magic is created with Vegas. I gave them my specs, and they're worknig on it. I'm not bragging, just counting my blessings. Thanks for the info guys.

You could also point out to them that the SD Connect box works very nicely with FCP, I've heard the FCP users are buying them up big time, and they work OK with Avid systems as well. Both of those are bit twitchy about what they talk to.
