Vegas and Delta 66 pops and clicks

I've had Vegas Pro installed for about a year now, but I had to reinstall the system because of an O/S failure. Now I have installed everything again but now Vegas is adding pops and clicks to the recording proccess. Sound Forge works great and so do all my other audio apps. But Vegas doesn't wan't to comply. I works fine with the old soundblaster card but it seams to have a problem with the delta. The only thing that is deferent this time is that I added a few more audio apps and plug'ns. Plus I had to update the delta drivers because the disk that came with the card was curropt. I can tell you this it is not the playbake buffer. I allready checked that.
If any one has a suggestion pleas repy.

want to have a good laugh? ask midiman for help with their product!

Anyway, for a real solution, have you checked all the standard stuff? IRQ's, other conflicts?
Also windows sound settings , since you reinstalled now maybe some windows settings are back that you had to get rid of before. Probably select " no sounds" from the sounds menu in control panel. Clicks and pops usually come from improper clock/sample rate settings. Make sure it is your delta and NOT microsoft sound mapper selected in vegas for busses and record timing master!

If the original driver was working for you then you should try to get a copy of it back. I started experiencing occassional distortion when tracking caused by the latest Delta driver. I went back to the original drivers that came with my Delta 1010 and have never experienced the problem again.

Somewhere in the Delta control panel is a parameter called
"reset rate when idle". Try checking or unchecking it.
