Does anyone out there know if this is possible with Vegas?
I am helping put together a team for an independent film, format undecided. We want to be able to shoot in 24p, the AGDVX100 looks a little too low-budget for us, but the new Panasonic AJ-SDX900 looks like a good bet. Would it be possible to capture and edit with a combination of the 10-bit SDI card made by Panasonic for this camera and Vegas 4.0c?
The people involved in this project love the idea of saving some money in post on this by editing on a sub-4K PC system, probably put together by the folks at BOXX. And I love the idea of editing it in Vegas, since I'm very comfortable with its workflow and have a lot of faith in its stability. And we're hearing that the footage from the AJ-SDX900 blows up beautifully to HD and 35mmm. Can we do it?
