Vegas and TMPGenc

Why, if i encode with VEGAS, the file MPEG2, in Architect no need to encode
again. But if i encode with TMPEGenc the Mpeg2 resultant, always needs reencode again in Architect ?
the values that i use are always the same:
MPEG2
720x576
PAL
4/3
....

would need more info to say why ... as what are your tmpgenc complete settings ..
